NATIONAL SECURITY: A STATE OR FEDERAL PROBLEM
Our
nation's security is an evolving one where there
is an increasing need for cooperation and collaboration
by all levels of local, state and federal entities.
Challenging issues such as immigration, laws regarding
identification requirements, financial regulation
and disease control are just some of the many security
facets we currently face, not just in Washington,
but here on the state level as well. It is for this
reason that it is so important for you to join the
Harbour League’s new National Security Working
Group!
The National Security Working Group is dedicated
to the defense and security of the United States
and her interests. To this end, the working group
focuses on both securing a strong defense as well
as winning the "war of ideas." Through
discussion, debate and effective engagement with
leading policy-makers, the working group strives
to preserve United States security, the economic
growth and prosperity, and the promotion of freedom
and democracy.
Join us on May 20th, 2009 for the formal introduction
to the working group with its first topic National
Security: A State or Federal Problem. Speakers will
include National Security Working Group’s
co-Chairs: Eli
Gold, President,

AMERICAN
GRIT
WHAT
IT WILL TAKE TO SURVIVE AND WIN IN THE 21ST CENTURY
(BALTIMORE,
MD) – In his talk, American Grit, nationally syndicated
columnist Tony Blankley warns that the administration
of Barack Obama is a potential disaster at a dangerous
time for America.
Challenging Americans to recapture the spirit of sacrifice
that has historically characterized our nation, Blankley
demonstrates how Obama’s agenda, with its emphasis
on environmental sensitivity, military retreat, and
the diminution of executive branch powers, promotes
national weakness as a righteous ideal. In contrast,
Blankley puts forward his own nationalist program based
on toughness, resoluteness, and grit—traditional
American values totally absent from Obama’s agenda.

family values by the other party as has
Sarah Palin.
